My son & I attended Saturday & shot the Leupold course. We had a great time even though it rained on us through most of the course. We were told the Leupold course was 20 - 60 yards max so I brought my hunting bow with a 5 pin site. We had 2 targets that were over 70 yards. Not a big deal, but I would have brought one of my bows with a slider if I had known. The back half of this course was physically very challenging - doubly so with the rain. I took a nasty fall, but was still able to shoot. I'm a 62 year old guy that is needing a knee replacement so keep that in mind in this review. My son & I are planning on coming again next year for 2 days of shooting, good Lord willing. We DID have a blast - even with the rain & the tough climbing conditions. It was a LOT of fun trying to figure out how to make good shots on the targets. I took 13 arrows with me & brought 12 of those back home. I HIGHLY recommend Oklahoma TAC!!!
First of all, this is them first time I have ever attended an event such as this. Most of my experience with 3D archery is with local competitions and ASA events. My father and I signed up for TAC not knowing what to expect, but I assure you that it lived up to the name, "Total Archery Challenge"! We shot the Sitka Course (day 1), the Leupold Course (day 2), and the Nock On Course (day 3). Throughout TAC, we were met with friendly faces, and witness and experienced archers helping archers. The Sitka Course was on an island, in the middle of Beaver's Bend Lake, OK. Six miles of uphill climbs, downhill descents, and long-range targets were on this course. We, my 72-year-old father, friends, and I, managed the course well and the course gave us a "warm up" for the next two courses. The next day, our same group participated in the Leupold Course. This course posed its own challenges, but was easier to negotiate than the Sitka Course. The targets ranged from 20-60 yards and offered a family-friendly vibe. The Nock On Course, on day 3, lived up to its name! Long range targets, shooting uphill and downhill, between trees, and low-level target spots gave this course a unique identity. The course was everything I would expect Mr. John Dudley, himself, to design! It was super entertaining and there were several pleasant surprises along the way. My takeaways from this event were (1) archery is even more fun when combined with challenges, (2) it is better with family and (new and old) friends, and (3) I will be attending another TAC! With most of my archery experience being executed in my back yard, TAC gave me the motivation to come back and practice harder! My father and I met several new friends at the event. Realizing that hundreds of archers can gather, have fun, and meet one another is an amazing reason to come back to TAC!!!

I have read and watched several reviews of TAC events and was excited to attend my first event in OK. I have been an archery enthusiast for over 30 years and used both modern and traditional equipment in this time. This was the most fun and educational archery experience of those 30 plus years. The courses were challenging and exposed my areas in need of improvement and allowed me to learn the capabilities of the equipment I used. The staff and vendors were friendly and answered any questions I had about the event or products. I am looking forward to attending future events and have registered for two more this summer. Thank you for creating and organizing such a great experience.
